Three of Reid State Technical College's inaugural athletic teams—Women's Basketball, Baseball, and Men's Golf—have earned academic honors from the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC).
The student-athletes were recognized on the Fall 2024 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, available at the following link: ACCC Commissioner's Honor Roll
"These student-athletes and teams should be extremely proud of themselves, as they have balanced academics with practice and games," stated Commissioner Dean Myrick. "I am very proud of them, along with the faculty and staff at our amazing colleges for the work they do in preparing our student-athletes for life outside of athletics".
Reid State's athletics program, launched in 2022, is a member of the ACCC and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The program continues to grow as a key element of student life, focusing on athletic development, academic achievement, and leadership skills.
"These achievements reflect the hard work of our student-athletes and coaches who strive to perform at the highest level in every area," said Reid State Athletic Director Brac Brady. "We're proud to see our teams excel both in competition and academically."
In addition to the teams that were recognized, the college also has Men's Basketball, Softball and E-sports. Volleyball is on schedule to start competing in fall of 2025.
